What Causes Miscarriage When Diagnosed With CCHD?

Hello doctor, My name is Sonu and I am from India. I have some concerns about my pregnancy. I delivered a baby 2 years 6 months back and he expired when he was 2 months as he was suffering from CCHD and again I got pregnant last Nov and had a miscarriage in the 2th month due to blight ovum. I am now 15 weeks pregnant and got a US done and doctors are telling that everything is normal. I already had 2 bad experiences so I am a bit concerned.

Hello,

I understand you have had bad experiences with the two previous pregnancies and the losses you have had and I think it is normal to be concerned related to the pregnancy you are having now.
On the other hand, it is good you are having the check-ups and the ultrasounds done to examine the heart of the baby and make sure he/she is doing well.
You will need to have regular checks and scans with your doctor and the most important scan is the one on week 20 (or 18-22), called the morphological ultrasound. In this scan the heart is seen well and the doctor will have more understanding if it is healthy or not.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
