What Causes Misconceive With Irregular Periods?

Hi, I ve been trying to have a baby with my fiancé for nearly two years now. I m 22 and I don t smoke or drink. My parter is 23 and he occasionally smokes and drinks. My periods are irregular and I mistake a late period for pregnancy every month. Have you any idea what I can do to conceive sooner rather than later?

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. I have gone through your query and would like to offer my opinion. I have observed few points in your history. 1. You have irregular periods. Hence ovulation is difficult to predict. The cycles need to be regularized and regular ovulation status should be established. Any other associated hormone imbalance is to be corrected and tubal patency established. 2. Since your partner smokes and drinks, even though occasionally, semenalysis should be done and progressive motility and morphology noted. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
