What Causes Missed Period And Bloating Despite A Negative UPT?
I am 53 days late for my period, I went to the doctors when I was 12 days late and took a test, and along with the 2 home tests I took, they were all negative. I am bloated, having more discharge, nipple soreness, and aerola darkening. I am Rh negative and am scared that i may be pregnant, but am not showing up on tests. I have had 2 miscarriages already. Please help me
You have delayed period by 53 days and it is confirmation/most common symptoms of pregnancy. Bloating, more discharge, nipple soreness, areola darkening are variable symptoms of pregnancy. I would suggest to consult a gynecologist and undergo clinical examination.
1. Blood HCG test: very sensitive and specific test to confirm diagnosis.
2. USG scan: best visual confirmation of pregnancy.
If all other tests will come negative then there is no chance of pregnancy. In absence of pregnancy it could be due to hormonal imbalance due to repeat miscarriage, ovarian dysfunction. In absence of pregnancy period can be induced by progesterone pill. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise and maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
