Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Missed Period, Diarrhea And Abdominal Cramping While HPT Is Negative?
I am 28. I have missed 2 periods and have been having cramping and diarrhea and even had nausea a couple times and it has felt uncomfortable doing my workouts lately, but I have taken several pregnancy tests and the first was a very faint positive and the rest have all been negative.?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Multiple negative pregnancy tests and just one weak positive pregnancy test rule out possibility of pregnancy. Menstrual irregularity can occur due to hormonal imbalance also. Thus, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and an endometrial biopsy or curretings. In addition, routine investigations like complete hemogram is also required. Low hemoglobin level or anemia can also cause delayed periods. Cramping and diarrhea are unlikely to be due to menstrual irregularities. These symptoms are likely to be due to gastrointestinal disorder and not menstrual irregularity.
