General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is a buildup of progesterone after IUD insertion to avoid pregnancy. And even after the removal of IUD, progesterone is continued to be released in a small amount into our system for around six months.

Bloating may be due to temporary hyperacidity which can be relieved by taking an antacid preparation such as omeprazole.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma,
