What Causes Missed Periods While On Metformin?

Hi, My doctor just put me on Metformin. My periods were around 90% regular. BUt ow since I started taking metformin i missed my period completely. When I was supposed to start my period I only had some light pink blood on the tissue when i wiped. Can i be pregnant
