What Causes Missing Periods And Heavy Brown Discharge?

I have not a normal period in 2 months. I will bleed for a few hours and stop for a few days. There is a heavy brown discharge that i have almost everyday since my period messed up 2 months ago! No odor, just very annoying! I have all my normal symptons of starting, back pain, etc, but I never start. What could be causing this?
