What Causes Missing Periods And Negative Pregnancy Tests?

hi doc, i am a 33 year old woman with a daughter, weaned my baby four months back, had normal flow for three months without ovulating now my menstruation did not come last month gone for pregnancy test it was negative.Am not on any contraceptive. what could be responsible for this?
