What Causes Missing Periods And Negative Test Results?

Am 25 yrs old and am trying to getting pregnant....its been 48 days now i haven;t get my periods yet.last month i got my period after 40 days. my usual cycle is 32-33 days. i did pregnancy test y'day but its negative....i have a severe foot pain. How do i find out weather am pregnant or not?
