What Causes Missing Periods And Spotting?

My period is 10 days late, last month 3 days late, and didn't last long. I am starting to get worried, last night I had some pink very light spotting, but nothing at all today. Last time i was this late was when i was under a major amount of stress, and currently my stress level is low. Could I be pregnant?
