What Causes Missing Periods And Tender Breast?

i had an ovarian cyst removed on the 29th of march an my doctor told me to start trying to conceive(4/16) last week i have had sex a few times,my cycle was suppose to come on, on the 18th an it hasnt an my breast are real tender. could i be pregnant my period is 5 days late
