What Causes Missing Periods?

Hello Im a 30 year old woman and I have not gotten a monthly period since March 29,2011 thru April 2,2011 Is it possiable that i may be pregnant I took a home test and it said negative should I get it done by blood and what are my chances in being pregnant.
