Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mouth shakes when I try to smile. I look very sad most of the time because I suppress smiling or I cover my mouth with my hands when I laugh. I also shake when I try to write or do stuff. I also get dizzy on steps and fall often. I can calm it down with wine but that s not a viable permanent option.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have mouth tremors along with dizziness because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve which can lead to facial paralysis or bell's palsy . Visit neurologist once and get it examined to rule out nerve compression , neuralgia or other conditions like neuropathy. Go for physical therapy of facial muscles. Avoid opening mouth extreme wide while jawing. If it is not due to nerve and due to dental infection then consult dentist once and get it examined. It could be related to stroke. Neurotropic medication such as nerve supplement , methylcobalamin is effective to improve your symptoms. In case of sinusitis consult ENT specialist and take steam several times a day . Sometimes doctor recommend steroid or alcohol injection in nerve ganglion.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
