Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Mouth Ulcers Along With Pain In The Ears And Jaw?
I have a canker sore in my mouth. It's been there a week. Hasn't gotten any better. Maybe worse. Starting to bleed. I normally get canker sores when I have seizures they just don't usually last this long in pain let alone this long at all. I originally just left it alone watching what I ate and drank only water. I've tried cream on them as well as rinsing my mouth with warm salt water. I just don't know what to do. The pain is causing ear aches, my jaw to hurt as well as my head.
It looks like the sore has got infected leading to severe inflammation and pain . I would suggest you to apply a combination of antibiotic ointment like Chlorhexidine along with steroid ointment like kenalog over it to reduce both infection and inflammation.. Take anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen to reduce pain.. You should continue doing warm saline gargles and along with it take Vitamin B complex supplements.. Do cool compresses over the ulcer.. Avoid spicy and irritant foods.. If the ulcer does not heal in next one week get it clinically examined by an Oral Physician..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
