What Causes Movable Lump On Tonsils Causing Difficulty In Swallowing?

I have not been sick lately, no sore throat but yesterday I noticed tonsil stones in one of my tonsils. After removing them I noticed the top of my tonsil looks and feels like it detached from the side of my throat. This morning I can feel it moving all the time especially when I swallow. The tonsil is a normal color. I did recently have my wisdom tooth come out on the other side. I m not sure if the two are related but I have no pain. What should I do? What would be the treatment? I m 21, female, and I have hypothyroidism.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

From what you are describing, it seems that you have tonsils stones with no inflammation nor pain being present. At this point, I highly recommend to consult further with ENT specialist as stones that might bee at inner part of tonsils should be evaluated and properly removed/treated.

Until you see an ENT specialist, I advise to :
- keep a good throat hygiene
- gargle with warm water and salt

Hope it was of help!
