What Causes Mucus In The Stool After A Hysterectomy?
Hi my name is sarah . I was on the depo shots for 13 years . from 1994 till 2006. In 2012 i had to have a hysterectomy done because my uterus was trying to come out. Could it be from being on the shots for so long. I also am having trouble with my stool it s nothing but hot burning mucus. PLEASE help if you can thank you
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Hot burning mucus in stool is indicative of the following: Intestinal infection with peri-anal excoriation of the skin. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool tests done and get started on Metronidazole and proper antibiotic cover along with pre and probiotics. Take boiled and cooled water only. Soft bland diet avoiding any foods and beverages that instigate or enhance your problems. Fresh homemade food only to be consumed. About the Depo shots causing prolapse of uterus needing hysterectomy: Such a relation is not much known but still can occur as Depo shorts are hormonal and can cause many complications. Consult your Gynecologist as She would know the things better.
