Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For about 3 days I have hald almost robot like hearing from my right ear. Sounds almost as if I'm talking into a fan. No pain or discomfort and no other symptoms. Not sure what's going on. I don't recall getting water in my ears but obviously I could've without noticing.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of muffled hearing in right ear which occur due to many reasons such as allergic reaction in ear canal, ear canal dermatitis, otitis media and could be due to eustachian dysfunction.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper rest and painkiller like Ibuprofen. Avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. You should consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may examine ear with otoscope and order certain tests like allergy test, CT scan and blood tests to rule out ear infection. Doctor may prescribe you oral antibiotics , anti inflammatory medications and corticosteroid ear drops . You can go for pus drainage from the ear as it can help in faster clearing of infection.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
