General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Multi-colored dots or auras in front of the vision is due to clumping of the proteins in the vitreous humor because of aging. Nearsightedness, cataract, diabetes & vitreous detachment can trigger it. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an eye specialist. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Get required tests and blood workout done. Get treated at the earliest. Neglecting it can cause complications like loss of vision or blindness. You may need laser treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
