What Causes Multicolour Vision In Hypertensive Patients?

Hi Dr,My father is 60 yrs; had Hypertension from past 12 yrs and Angioplasty done for single artery block 10 yrs back. He was on medication. My father is experiencing some unusual multicolor appearance within his eyes and unable to read few words at a time due to blurring. Contacted Ophthalmologist and his cardiologist. They did some scanning and reported to contact neurologist. what will be the cause for this multicolor appearance?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your father is having complaints of seeing colored halos.
These are seen in corneal edema as in acute congestive glaucoma or in early cataract.
Since these are absent as told by your eye doctor other causes like migraine have to be ruled out.
Hence I advice you to consult your neurologist as told by your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
