What Causes Multiple Blister Like Spots On Neck?

I am worried that I may have the shingles even though I had the vaccine injection about a year ago. My neck has several spots that are red and swollen and there is needle like pain in each spot. The spots have not blistered, they are just swollen/puffy and seem to be spreading. What do you think? This just came on over the last couple of days.

Hi,

As per your query you have multiple blister like spots on neck which seems to be due to allergic reaction, angioedema, and could be due to sun poisoning.

I would suggest you to apply over the counter antibiotics cream and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. Avoid itching and pricking these spots. Avoid exposure to sunlight and apply cold compresses. You should visit dermatologist once if condition doesn't get well. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antifungal depending upon the diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
