Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain Mumps is a Viral Infection leading to viral infection of Parotid glands and due to infection there can be fever and swelling on the sides of face in the region of the Parotid Glands..
It is true that it can lead to inflammation of Testicles known as
Orchitis but it is commonly seen in boys who have reached
puberty..
You should not worry as virus runs its course and the infection can gradually subside in 8 to 10 days..
I would suggest you to continue giving him
paracetamol as well as
Ibuprofen..
Loose motions is due to side effect of the medicine and will gradually subside once the intake of medicine is stopped..
You should feed him with ample of fluids, a
soft diet, coolc ompresses over swelling to relieve inflammation..
In case if diarrhea/loose motions become severe you can consult your doctor and get him evaluated..
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards.
