What Causes Muscle Ache While On Letrozole?

I am taking Letozole hormonal drug due to recent breast cancer. I tried Arimetex, but had to change due to aching muscles...my skin even hurt. I am doing better on the Letrozole but feel I am not getting enough sleep, I am very moody (I love everyone - so not me) and just don t feel like myself. A friend suggested I try 5HTP and I would ask my oncologist before taking it or any supplement. But, could I try to take it ?

Hello,

Lerazole may can cause muscle ache and pain. Don't take self medication with 5HT and others.

You can take Tramadol or paracetamol for muscle pain. Also check other possible causes of muscle pain like electrolyte imbalance or myositis or connective tissue disorders etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
