What Causes Muscle And Back Spasms When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia?

Hello, I have fibromyalgia, NASH, and IBS. I am also overweight but I am working on losing weight slowly. I don t exercise to harshly just yet. I ve been having chronic pain feeling like my sides are caving in during these muscle spasms and back spasms. Could it be a major issue with my liver? I take my duloxetine regularly and it doesn t feel like my fibromyalgia cramps. These cramps prohibit me from moving and I find myself holding my breath and the pain is excruciating. They ve been happening more often lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
fibromyalgia can cause spasms and pain of the soft tissues and joints. It seems your general physical condition is not good.
Duloxetine might give some relief if you are anxious and depressed but will damage your liver. you already have NASH which is fatty deposits in the liver.
IBS means your immunity is not great.
Begin by discontinuing duloxetine.
add more fibre and fresh fruit and vegetables to your diet.
try to lose weight by regular exercise.
cut out fats from your diet.
take a liver tonic like Liv 52.
have tab. rcifax 200 mg twice a day for 2 weeks along with a prebiotic. for the pain tab Calpol might be enough.
try to remain stress free and positive
