What Causes Muscle Fasciculations Of Legs, Arms And Foot?

Hi I am a fourteen year old girl who has muscle fascultations all over my body. I have them on my legs, arms, foot, neck, and sometimes my face. Sometimes it feels like worms moving underneath my skin, and other times it feels like just a muscle spasm. I can always see them on my skin. Sometimes my internal organs spasm too. I can t see those. Some are so short and some last a while but stop when I move.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The muscle fasciculations under arm, legs and foot may be part of:
- Stress or anxiety
- Neuromuscular disorder with lower motor neuron sign
- Deficiencies of zinc, copper, magnesium or others

However, a systemic evaluation is a must strategy to diagnose the possible issues in your case.

Kindly discuss the need of consulting your primary care physician for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
