What Causes Muscle Pain?

Hi. I have had a sharp pain that comes and goes all day today. It doesnt feel like a pulled muscle. I have been doing therapy for an ACL and Meniscus tear since 12/23/10. It just started today. Its not constant just every once in a while when I move or something. It happens if im sitting or standing and I go to move.
