What Causes Muscle Spasms Along With Purple Bruise Marks On Legs?

MY FRIEND IS A MALE 62 YEARS OLD, AND HAS SPASMS THAT ARE SO PAINFUL AND HIS FEET CURL-UP SO CONSIQUENTLY HE IS GETTING PURPLE, BRUISE-LIKE MARKS ON HIS LEGS, ANKLES AND HIS HEELS ARE SOLID PURPLE. NO, HE HAS BEEN CHECKED FOR DIABETES SO, RULE THAT OUT. HE IS EXTREMLY THIN AND HAS NOT HAD ANY BOOZE FOR 1 YEAR. CAN SOMEONE HELP? THANK YOU!

I have read your query.

It appears that he could be having a bleeding disorder which can be caused by liver problems, infections, Haemophilia etc.

He needs to get his liver assessed if he consumes alcohol or has jaundice.

As if now keep him safe from any kind of trauma. He can take Paracetamol tablet in prescription doses for pain.

He needs to be investigated for bleeding disorders and liver disease urgently.
