What Causes Muscle Spasms And Twitching In Lower Abdomen?

Today around noon started having a muscle spasm or twitching in my lower, left side of my abdomen. It s not painful but is rather annoying. I had a bowl movement today so I am not constipated but I have been taking tramadol for a long time and some times I do get constipated. The spasms are bad enough that I am having a hard time going to sleep. It seems to have gotten worse when I laid down. Considering the fact that I had a BM today could it be possible that I have some type of intestinal blockage.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of muscle spasm and twitching of the left lower abdominal region I will suggest it is not an intestinal obstruction but rather a chronic constipation possibly from the intake of the tramadol
In view of this please see a gastroenterologist specialist for further clinical assessment and please take th the following
High fiber diet
Antispasmodic drug
Multivitamin
I hope this helps
