What Causes Muscle Spasms In Inner Oblique Muscle After Rib Fracture?

Hello. I recently fractured my 11th rib from coughing. Prior to the break I was experiencing significant discomfort in my oblique muscle. I believe this muscle was strained very badly and under tension. Then I coughed and the rib went. Since then I ve had terrible muscle spasms in my inner oblique muscle. My question is do you think this muscle is torn? And if so will the recovery of the entire injury be longer than a normal fractured rib. Thank you.
