What Causes Muscle Tightness And Pain In The Arms And Upper Torso?

My friend, 32 yo. female, healthy, has muscle tightness and dull achy pain in upper torso, arms and mandible, stiffness. Today has developed a crackling noise in her lungs when she breaths. I sent her to the ER yesterday, EKG and examination both negative. Cracking noise is new today. Says everything hurts. Deep breathing, laying down, but walked her dog today. Does daily exercise, often very strenuous workouts. She has similar type symptoms as a child, diagnosis uncertain but told to rest. Same in ER yesterday. Veteran, PTSD, no meds or alcohol, or drugs. Despite dislike of narcotics, her pain/discomfort was bad enough to take left over pill from prior surgery (dental).

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that crackling sound with chest pain can be related to lungs like pneumonitis. Kindly get a chest X-ray done with few blood test like CBC, CRP, S. creatinine and consult back with results. Till time she can take pain killers and steam inhalation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
