What Causes Muscle Twitching In Thigh?

I began having the muscle twitching in my thigh a few months ago. I have a very stressful life as I am disable and have had two neck surgeries for spondolosis as well as a pinched nerve. I also have something that maybe no one has heard of. I hear a funny noise at times like well it is hard to describe. It comes from my neck it sounds like it may sound if someone were to rub your muscles together it is really weird and I am beginning to think it maybe my imagination. I really can't decribe the sound enough for you to know what I mean. I am concerned about the twitching as well
