General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Nucynta ER contains tapentadol that is a mu opioid receptor agonist indicated for the management of moderate to severe chronic pain in adults when a continuous, around the clock opioid analgesic is needed for an extended period of time. Side effects of Nucynta are muscle twitching, agitation, restlessness, muscle weakness, restlessness leg syndrome, and nausea, vomiting, constipation, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, changes in sleep pattern, anxiety, fatigue, indigestion, weakness, decreased appetite, spinning sensation, hot flashes, tremor, chills, abnormal dreams, depression, mood swings, blurred vision, impotence, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor immediately for medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
