What Causes Nail Loss From The Finger And Toe Nails?

My grandson hand what we thought was hand/mouth disease. he lost all his fingernails and toe nails before it was over. I think it s back. Only one fingernail looks like it might be affected. Half of his left middle fingernail is raised and greenish white. That s what all of the looked like when they fell off. Can I stop it?

Hello,

Could it be an accelerated fungal disease. You have to get the toes tested for the same with a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
