What Causes Nasal Blockage And Headache With Vomiting?

Hi, my son is 6 years old and has been sick all week with a stuffy nose. Earlier this afternoon he had a sudden head ache. Tonight he started to throw up about 1 hr after dinner. No fever and feels better now. Could this be something we need to go to the ER for? Should I be concerned.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. Your son might be suffering from infection of sinus, which is a cavity within a bone or other tissue. Most are commonly found in the bones of the face and connecting with the nasal cavities. It can be a reason for the headache as well. I would suggest to start steam inhalation twice daily. If he develops fever or vomitting, you can see a doctor. He will start with appropriate antibiotics. Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards.
