What Causes Nasal Congestion Along With Running Nose And Sneezing?

Thanksgiving night I came down with a really bad cold. Runny nose and non stop sneezing. Over the past few days I just have really bad nasal congestion now. I can't breathe out of my nose for fear of boogers flying out. Do I have a cold? Or something else.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you started with having cold and it has led to infection in sinuses causing Sinusitis and there is nasal congestion..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS VIEW or MRI of sinuses, nasal endoscopy and confirm the cause.
In case of Sinusitis he can advise you antibiotics, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Motrin or Aleve, decongestant like Xylometazoline sprays, Oral decongestant, saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Avoid chilled foods..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
