What Causes Nasal Congestion And Cough?

I am 48 years old man and suffering from stuffness over soft palate .when i sleep nothing feels but when I wake up after some time this stuff ness slowly growing once sleep in the day so okay.some time I feel tears,cough,head stuffness.please suggest me

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nasal congestion and cough along with stuffiness on palate which is due to Rhinitis medicamentosa or common cold. Need not to worry about it. You should go for steam inhalation on daily basis along with nasal vaporizers. You should put xylomist nasal drops to prevent congestion. You should take chicken soup along with along with lemon tea. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Take combination of Sinarest along with Levocetrizine. For stuffiness over palate maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing and flossing daily. Rinse with antiseptic mouth wash as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment as per diagnosis. Take decongestant nasal sprays containing mucinex for instant relief.
