What Causes Nasal Congestion And Sneezing After Undergoing Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy about 6 hours ago and as soon as I got out of the recovery room my nose started pouring liquid and sneezing. As soon as they put the oxygen prongs in I new right away that I was going to have a reaction. Is this normal and how long will I have to deal with this? Thanks Angie

Hello,

I don't think this is related directly to colonoscopy examination. Probably a viral situation is now and no problem. Take a painkiller to feel better at night no worries.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
