What Causes Nausea After Eating?

I am constantly nauseated after anything I eat. Joint paint throughout my body, can t make a fist in the morning, very fatigue, restless leg syndrome. I had my gall bladder the last week in April but did not feel any better. One incision is taking a long time to heal. My symptoms are debillating and thus affecting my quality of life. I am tired all the time e en though I am on medication to help me sleep.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is history of recent surgery of gall bladder removal one week before and nausea is constant after eating indicates possible bile or acid reflux pausing the symptoms.

Kindly follow basic guidelines:
- Drink more liquids in sessions
- Prefer to keep stomach empty by 25% of satiety value each time
- Take frequent small meals at intervals
- Do not keep stomach empty over a period of time as well as avoid over eating and immediate sleeping after meals
- Your prescription must contain anti emetic as ondancetron, proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole or pantoprazole
- If constipation, bulk forming laxative as Ispaghula husk
- Remain ambulatory as sedentary life style at this period, will make the issue more worse
- Avoid smoking if concerned
- Control of blood sugar, body weight

Remain in regular follow up with your surgeon for best results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
