General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Meclizine is prescribed for motion sickness and sometimes for vertigo. Dried mouth, bitter taste, sleepy and yawning a lot, all of these could be the side effect of meclizine because of its anticholinergic and antihistaminergic effects. I would suggest to talk to your prescriber about these side effects so that he can prescribe you another group of medicine for the treatment of vertigo.

I hope this answer was helpful.

Sincerely,
Dr. Saralkumar Desai MBBS-AP
