What Causes Nausea Along With Headaches And Blurred Vision While On Quasense?

I was taking the birth control Quasense and after noticing side effects such as headaches, blurry vision, and nausea I stopped the pills after 4 days. I started my period that Thursday and began the pills that Sunday. Ever since then I have been bleeding. I am very anemic and I really need to stop bleeding. Any help on why this is happening?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the nausea with headache and heavy menses are in relation with side effect of the oral contraceptive pills associated with withdrawal bleeding. The blurred vision is most likely from low hemoglobin produced via loss of excess blood in the menses. Immediate help with following medications can be obtained:
- Ethamsylate
- Trenaxemic acid
- NC Norm P
- Supplemental iron once acute bleeding is controlled

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
