What Causes Nausea And Anxiety Inspite Of Taking Celexa?
My 18 year old daughter seems to have anxiety coupled with some depression and periodically cannot keep food down for days in a row. This has been going on for more than a month. She has started counseling and was taking celexa (bloodwork negative) which worked temporarily (she was happy and normal for a few days) but the nausia and anxiety have now returned. She has had to drop college classes and a part time job and it is a great difficulty just to leave the house. Any suggestions would be helpful as we at at ropes end.

Nausea can be a temporary side effect of some anti depressants/anti anxiety medications.
Normally this effect decreases with consistent use of the medication. Taking the medication with food would help.
There are also medications she might consider to help reduce the nausea eg peptobismol, dramamine
