What Causes Nausea And Bloating?

I took plan b on march 12 and it is now april 2. I am feeling nausea and bloating. Five days after taking plan b I got my period. In 7 days my next period should come but the nausea and bloating makes me think I might be pregnant. So far two tests and both negative. I m worried.

HI,
I understand your concern.
- Plan B is a high dose hormonal preparation, used for emergency contraception.It mostly avoids conception if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
- The home pregnancy test you have done was a bit earlier. Urine pregnancy test is sensitive after 8 days delay in periods. If you still have doubt, get the test done at a proper time.
- Bleeding you had after 5 days was withdrawal bleeding. Now the next period would be about a week delayed.
* This is due to hormonal imbalance following plan B. The same is the reason for nausea & bloating also. You can take tablet perinorm 1 pill a day to get some relief till then.
- Mostly the complaint should resolve after next menses.The regular menstrual cycle would attain in a couple of months.- & then your health also will be normal. Please don't worry.
