What Causes Nausea And Chest Pain During Menstruation?

Just before my menstration cycle I become nauseated I get aches throughout my chest area my joints and neck area. I ve been to the dr and er over the years and the say my heart is ok. Over Time it has become worse. My cycle seems to want to start but stays in that mode for about 4 days. During this time I m spotting on and off. Then finally I start and it s only about two days. This is much different from years ago when I had full 6 day cycles. I m 40 but it seems odd that I feel so so and have these problems just before I start my cycle each month. any ideas?

Hello,

The neck and joint pain together with feeling nauseated can't be related to menstrual cycle irregularities. it can be related to spondyloarthrosis of the neck which can cause neck pain, headache and feeling nauseated. The spotting may be a sign of myomas, thickening of endometrial lining etc or hormonal problem. You should do an ultrasound and a Pap smear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
