What Causes Nausea And Cold Sweats While Suffering From Vertigo?

This past Tuesday I had a bout with positional vertigo that lasted about 20 minutes during which time I became increasingly nauseous and broke into a cold sweat and while leaning on the counter I fainted. By that afternoon I was back to normal activities I have felt fine since with the vertigo now gone also. I had tests at the emergency room today including cat scan, ekg, blood pressure, blood work, urine, and chest x-ray and all came back good. Should I be concerned of any serious condition not identified by the hospital today?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

After going through your medical details I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that nausea and cold sweats can be because of othostatic hypotension or cervical spondylitis and severe gastric reflux.

Kindly get an X-ray neck and ultrasound imaging abdomen done and consult a physician with reports for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap
