What Causes Nausea And Dizziness While On Blood Pressure Medication?
My husband is 59 he takes blood pressure meds. He has been unable to sit up without extreme nausea and dizziness. This has been going on for approx. 12 hrs. I checked his BP 172/84 pulse 64. He hasn t taken his meds yet today, he can t keep Anything down. He does not have a fever. Please reply to YYYY@YYYY Thank you for your time
It seems the symptoms he is having are due to gastritis. It is important to treat that first as it will aggravate his blood pressure further.
Since, he is unable to keep anything orally; he will have to get a shot of antacid like injection Ranitidine and an anti-emetic like injection Ondensetron. For that, he will have to be taken to an ER (Emergency Room).
If he is not relieved by these medications, then he may need further assessment to diagnose the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma Amman
