What Causes Nausea And Excessive Sweating Upon Waking Up In The Morning?

hi, this morning when i woke up i felt nautious, had sweat pouring off my forehead and down my back. i got up only to go to the bathroom (which was diarreaha, every few minutes for about 4 hours) i also had nasty rotten hard boiled egg tasting burps right before i vommited. my mother told me not to go to the dr because they wouldn t do anything and i also couldn t stay upright long enough to get to the dr anyway. any ideas of what this is and should i go to the hospital for it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These symptoms are quite suggestive of some food poisoning. Generally, it settles it'self in most patients. What you need to do is to take a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration. However, if it does not settle, or you feel fainted or dizzy (signs of dehydration) or your bp is very low then you should go to the ER as you may need drips.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
