What Causes Nausea And Fatigue On Getting Up From Sleep?

When ever I bed over and stand back up I feel nauseous, and like I m going to pass out. The feeling stays with me for a bit after I stand up and I have to take deep breaths to try and help it. It doesn t happen all the time, only if I m continually picking stuff up over and over, like trash of the ground. It makes me feel really bad and it worries me. Is there something wrong with me, or is it just cuz I m out of shape?

Hello,

You are having nausea and fatigue after waking from sleep. Your symptoms are indicative of poor sleep or diet, or lack of exercise. Feeling nauseous upon waking up may also be due to upset stomach from the night before. It may suggest indigestion, liver dysfunction.

Thyroid problems also cause fatigue. If you are sexually active you should get pregnancy test done to rule out pregnancy. Since you are having to take deep breaths, try to stay outdoors in the morning and evening, do regular walking and get a lot of fresh air. Take home made nutritious food and try to stay away from anxiety and depression. Listen to music, watch a movie, or read a book.

Get clinically examined by a GP, get liver function tests, T3, T4 and TSH done. Get CBC and required imaging tests done to detect any chronic illness that needs to be treated. Prefer to take boiled food over fried food. Take PPIs to reduce the formation of gas and discomfort. Take smaller meals 3-4 times a day and take at least 8 hours of sleep. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

The symptoms you are describing, such as feeling nauseous and dizzy upon standing up, are common and can have a variety of causes. Here are some possible explanations:
* Orthostatic hypotension: It is a condition where there is a reduction of blood pressure levels when one stands up. This can lead to symptoms such as lightheadedness, dizziness, and fainting. It can be caused by dehydration, certain medications, and neurological or cardiovascular conditions. If you have other symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath, you should seek medical attention immediately.
* Inner ear problems: The inner ear plays an important role in balance, and any issues with this system can cause symptoms such as dizziness or vertigo. Inner ear problems can be caused by infections, inflammation, or injury.
* Anxiety or panic attacks: Anxiety and panic attacks can cause a range of physical symptoms, including dizziness, nausea, and shortness of breath. These symptoms can be triggered by stressful situations or specific triggers and may require treatment with medication or therapy.
* Dehydration: Dehydration can cause a drop in blood pressure, which can lead to dizziness and other symptoms. Make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day, especially if you are engaging in activities that make you sweat.
* Anemia: Anemia is a condition where you have a low level of red blood cells, which can lead to fatigue and weakness. It can be caused by a variety of factors, such as a lack of iron or vitamin B12 in your diet.
* Other medical conditions: Many other medical conditions can cause symptoms such as dizziness and fatigue, such as diabetes, thyroid problems, and heart conditions.

It is important to see a healthcare provider if you are experiencing these symptoms, especially if they are affecting your daily life. They can help determine the underlying cause and provide appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
