I DEVELOPED A RASH ON WEDNESDAY WENT TO THE DR. THURSDAY MORNING AND WAS TOLD IT WAS HINGLES WAS GIVEN ACYCLOVIR 800 MG AND GABAPEN 300 MG THE ACTCLOVIR 5 PILLS A DAY THE GABAPENTIN 3 TIMES A DAY I HAVE A TERRIBLE HEADACHE NAUSEA DO ISUPPOSE TO FEEL LIKE IT JUST ON MY SHOULDER AREA WHERE I WAS FEELING PAIN BEFORE RASH

Neurontin (gabapentin) is an anti-epileptic medication used to treat seizures. Neurontin is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat seizures caused by epilepsy in adults and children who are at least 12 years old. Neurontin is also used to treat nerve pain caused by shingles (herpes zoster). Common side effects of Neurontin include:

dizziness, headache
drowsiness, unsteadiness,
memory loss,
lack of coordination,
difficulty speaking,
viral infections,
tremors,
double vision,
fever,
unusual eye movements, and
jerky movements.

Other side effects of Neurontin include mood or behavior changes, depression, or anxiety.
