What Causes Nausea And Heart Palpitations In An Elderly Person?
Hi.....I m a 65 yr. old woman in good health. I got sick about 3 weeks ago, nausea and heart palpitations, and when I exercise my heart would start racing about half way through the class. Last Friday I went to my dr. and she said my blood pressure was 90/50. My pressure is always normal before that. She had me get an EKG, chest X-ray, and blood tests. I saw the EKG was normal. If my blood tests are normal, should I ask her for more tests for a possible heart condition? Also, what do you think about Adrenal suppression?
* The nausea relates to gastritis or intestine upset.
* Palpitations may be part of underlying cardiac dysfunction of some sort if anxiety is eliminated.
* In our clinic, I recommend to undertake a 2D echo cardiography of the heart for further evaluation over and above the EKG.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
