What Causes Nausea And Lightheadedness After Exposure To Carbon Monoxide?
I was operating a gas powered piece of equipment at work comma there was a hole in the exhaust and I think I may have suffered some carbon monoxide poisoning. Felt nauseous at first, the nausea is gone but very light headed now. The question is if I went to the hospital how would they detect if I have carbon monoxide in my bloodstream
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Common symptoms of carbon dioxide poisoning may include: headache, dizziness, weakness, upset stomach, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion. In severe cases, coma or dead. The symptoms you describe could be symptoms of mild exposure to carbon dioxide. You may not need any special treatment.Just rest well and avoid further exposure. Because signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are not specific, a blood test to look for it is the most effective way to make the diagnosis.I will suggest you go to the hospital if symptoms persist for test as your symptoms could as well be caused by other medical conditions. Hope this will help Best wishes
