Hi Doctors, I have been taking paroxetine, 10 mg. for over 12 years. I have a primary care physician with whom I have an appointment for my yearly check-up on July 17th. Dr. Thielen does not have any time before this date because it is a long exam where she recommends me for blood tests, etc. Dr. Thielen has been my physician for 20 years. I am 74 years old and I would like to stop taking paroxetine. I am getting more migraines than my usual number, more nausea at different times of the day or evening, and am feeling more anxious and am doing more talking than usual when I feel up, and more low when I feel down. I do not like either of these feelings and will be talking to Dr. Thielen about how to get off gradually. I originally started taking paroxetine when my mother had both ovaraian cancer and wet macular degeneration and it really helped keep me on an even keel. I think I can wait until July 17th because even though there are many doctors in her practice at Steamboat Medical Dr. Thielen knows me the best. I would go in tomorrow and just wait for whoever was available as I am really bothered by these feelings. Thank you, Kathi Skytta
